It is the aim of these young people to grow intimately in-love with God and to share Christ to others. CLYM may seem too ambitious in reaching out for the world but it is the ultimate dream. With this online newsletter (blogger), CLYM is able bring out the best in every member and therefore shedding light, inspiration, joy to others through God-given talents. Aside from getting in-phase with the computer technology, CLYM desires to be of local service within their community.

CHRISTIAN BOY LOVES 'KUYANG ATE'

Last sunday, after ng fellowship ng mga kabataan sa church, inaya kami
ni Brian na samahan siya mgapagupit sa puregold.
Tutal magoonline naman ako sa balubaran , sinamahan ko na. E di ayun, after maglakad ng 5minutos,
dumating na kami dun. First time lang ni Brian magpagupit dun kaya 'di
namin alam kung magkano.

BRIAN: magkano kaya haircut dito?
AKO: ewan..lapit tayo baka may nakapaskil sa labas.

Naexcite yata si brian kaya pumasok na siya agad. Nung nasa loob na
siya, sumenyas siya sa amin ni Chris Tiu na pumasok..siyempre sunod
naman kami.

Sa loob, maaliwalas..ok naman.
May isang customer doon sa bandang looban na ginugupitan.
Tapos may isang babae sa may counter, nag-aabang ng mga customers na papasok..
Napansin kong puro "kuyang ate" ang mga tagagupit pero may mga babae
din naman silang empleyado na 'di na iba sa mga pagupitan na
napuntahan ko na..

Umupo narin kami ni Chris Tiu sa gilid kasama ang isang lalaki at si Brian ay umupo narin banda doon para gupitan. Mukang enjoy naman si Brian habang tinatanong ng tagaupit kung ano ang gusto niyang style ng buhok. Medyo masikip ang upuan namin ni Chris Tiu aksi nagsisiksikan
kami sa isa. Napansin ata ng isang tagagupit na nahihirapan kami..

TAGAGUPIT: uy sir..lipat nalang po kayo dito.

Nagkatinginan kami bigla ni Chris Tiu. Siyempre medyo nahiya narin
kaming makiupo sa umpukan nila doon pero lumipat narin si Chris.

Medyo maingay sa loob..

Puro tsismisan ang maririnig sa bibig ng bawat isa.

Kami ni Chris, napapangiti nalang sa mag biruang kanilang napag-uusapan. Natapos na ang isang customer doon..at kasabay na lumabas ang katabi ko. Kami nalang ang natira doon kasama ang mga "kuyang ate" na nagkekwentuhan.

TAGAGUPIT: sir..ok lang po kayo?
AKO: ok lang po.
TAGAGUPIT: anong pangalan niyo sir?
AKO: jun..
TAGAGUPIT: jude??
AKO: jun..
TAGAGUPIT: ah..jude.

Parang di naglinis ng tenga..naiba pa tuloy ang panagalan ko.
Nagpatuloy ang palitan ng tanng at sagot sa amin..napapangiti nalang
si Brian doon sa puwesto niya habang ginugupitan ng sobrang bagal.

TAGAGUPIT: sir ikaw, san ba kayo galing niyan?
CHRIS TIU: sa church, may fellowship kasi kami.
TAGAGUPIT: ay, ano bang religion niyo?
CHRIS TIU: Born Again Christian po..

Basta nagpatuloy nalang ang mga usapan..
Tapos ay bigla naikwento ng isang "kuyang ate" doon na meron daw silang
customer na "Christian" daw pero nang-agaw ng boyfriend ng kasamahan
nila..

TAGAGUPIT: magagalit kaya ang pastor niyo kung magkaroon ng ganun sa inyo?
AKO: naku.hindi ko po alm..wala pa kasing nagiging ganyang sitwasyon
samin e.

Bigla uli kami nagkationginan ni Chris Tiu.

Paulit-ulit ang mga tanong na ganun..nagkaroon rin ng batuhan ng asar ang bawat isa sa kanila.

Medyo masaya pero bakit di ko ba sila sinagot sa tanong nilang iyon? siguro alam ko naman ang sagot diba? o baka isipin nila nagmamagaling ako?

Natapos na ang gupitan session.

TAGAGUPIT: balik kayo sir ha!
KAMI: ok! salamat po..

Naglakad na kaming tatlo papuntang balubaran. Nagutom ata si Brian sa
sobrang tagal ng paggugupit sa kanya kaya bumili muna kami ng "Angels
Burger" at pagkatapos ay naghiwahiwalay narin.
Siyempre nagonline muna ako..after 2hours ay umuwi narin.

Habang nakahiga ako, naisip ko nanaman yung tanong sa salon.
Ok nga lang ba na magkaroon ng ganung relasyon ang isang lalaki at Christian pa daw siya?
Well, wala pa nga namang ganung sitwasyon sa church namin. Pero sa sarili kong pananaw, sa tingin ko ay hindi talaga "Christian" yung lalaking kinuwento ni kuyang ate. Baka sa pangalan, oo. Sabi nga ng pastor namin, "Habang lumalago ka sa pananampalataya,
mas marami kang nakikitang kamalian sa buhay mo na dapat baguhin o ayusin.."

So kung Kristiyano talaga siya, maiisip niya kaagad na mali ang relasyong iyon diba? At dapat niyang itama iyon..

Ako, pwede kong sabihing "Christian" ako, pero pwede ako
manigarilyo,uminom,maglasing. Pero yun na nga yun e. Paano
madidistinguish ang isang "totoong Christian" sa hindi kung pwede ring
gawin ng isang Christian ang ginagawa ng hindi?

Bilang mga Krisyiayno, alam naman nating lahat na simula ng tanggapin
natin Si Hesus, hindi na tayo ang drayber ng buhay natin, hinayaan na natin siyang mag-take over.

Pero sa ginawa ng Christian "daw" na 'yon na nakipagrelasyon sa
kapwa niya lalaki e sa tingin ba niya ay nakalulugod ito sa mata ng Diyos?
Kaya marami paring tao ang nalilito..

"Hindi lahat ng tumatawag saking Ama ay anak ko.."

Sayang nga lang at hindi ko ito nasabi doon sa tagaugpit na nagtanong.
Kaya tuloy minsan tuloy iba ang tingin ng tao sa isang "Christian"..

Iba iba ang pananaw nila..

Tinatawag mo bang "Christian" ang sarili mo para maging "IN" ka lang?
O ginagamit mo ang oportunidad na ito para maging magandang halimbawa
at maging ilaw sa mga taong naliligaw pa?

Ano?

Live out Christ!

CHOOSE LIFE YOUTH MINISTRY

2009 will be a new year of learning, transformation, multiplication, and healing.

Choose Life Youth Ministry (CLYM) exists to be the SALT and LIGHT of this generation. It aims to fulfill and live out the will of God for it is not founded by the ways of this world but by God who is the source and creator of all.

A new year of learning. It is CLYM's desire to know God and His Word. For it is only by knowing your master that one fulfills his works and role as a servant. A heart that is not right before God is an empty heart. It may be serving millions of people but the Lord desires a heart that is sincere, a heart that follows genuinely. God does not desire sacrifice but obedience. There is nothing in this world that could add up to His glory, riches, honor, pleasure for every thing that has been made was through Him and by Him. The reason for learning is not to just to make oneself good for sacrifice but to become a vessel of God in making Him known to the world, to the lost.

A time of transformation. A faith grounded to the Word does not stop. It does not cease to grow and expand. It does not remain a seed but it is desired to grow in maturity and bear fruit. What is learning without transformation? It is like a man who reads and understands a paragraph the way he read it 20 years ago. The Word of God transforms lives. It does not seek a certain group of people but it works its way through every hearts from a child heart to mature heart. Knowing God does not stop in knowing His Word but it continues to be manifested in the life of the one who found it. A child does not remain a child for 20 years. He has to be a man-- a man not just physically but a man transformed and moulded in God's hand, reaching out and being the best of what he could be before the Maker.

A life multiplied. Transformation follows multiplication. A life transformed is not buried but alive and overpouring. It cannot be hidden but rather defined and brought to life. CLYM aims to reach out to its spheres of influence, enlarge its territory. It's a spiritual battle for everyone but it is God's desire that the lost be found, the blind may see, and that each soul experiences God. A life transformed should choose no other way but to multiply because salvation is for everyone. There are only two factors to multiply, God and Satan. Which factor are you multiplying right now?

Healing. So many wounds and pains of the past. So many mistakes and deception of the former times. Without healing the wounds persist and may infect a life-transformed. There is no other way start anew but to start without luggage.

Lives are taken and lost each day. According to the World Health Organization's data (1993) 4.2% of 100,000 Filipinos died by suicide. These people thought they had no choice but to end life. Because life to them is such a hopeless case--maybe they suffer hunger, financial crisis, love crisis, emotional depression, or any sort of ugliness and negativities and they could not take it any longer so as they looked past a wall they started to realize that there is no other way to end it all but to take their own lives. Jesus is speaking, "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.." Perhaps they thought that they were bound to one choice but in reality there a million choices surrounding us and can only be categorized to two-- DEATH and LIFE. CLYM seeks and strives to represent a life that is changed and has chosen JESUS. In every circumstances the youth is faced with different choices in life and most of the time they are confused but it is good to know that there is GOOD NEWS; that even in the darkest areas and situations, light exists, God exists. One always has a choice and we in CLYM, we CHOOSE LIFE, we choose JESUS. After all, it was God who first chose us, He first loved us.

The Warning Against Desiring Spiritual Success

"Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you..."(Luke 10:20)

Wordliness is not the trap that most endangers us as Christian workers; nor is it sin. The trap we fell into is extravagantly desiring spiritual success; that is, success measured by, and patterned after, the form set by this religious age in which we now live. Never seek after anything other than the approval of God, and always be willing to go "outside the camp, bearing His reproach" (Hebrews 13:13). In Luke 10:20, Jesus told the disciples not to rejoice in successful service, and yet this seems to be the one thing in which most of us do rejoice. We have a commercialized view-- we count how many souls have been saved and sanctified, we thank God, and then we think everything is all right. Yet our work only begins where God's grace has laid the foundation. Our work is not to save souls, but to disciple them. Salvation and sanctification are the work of God's sovereign grace, and our work as His disciples is to disciple others' lives until they are totally yielded to God. One life totally devoted to God is of more value to Him than one hundred lives which have been simply awakened by His Spirit. As workers for God, we must reproduce our own kind spiritually, and those lives will be God's testimony to us as His workers. God brings us up to a standard of life through His grace, and we are responsible for reproducing that same standard in others.

Unless the worker lives a life that "is hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:3), he is apt to become an irritating dictator to others, instead of an active, living disciple. Many of us are dictators, dictating our desires to individuals and to groups. But Jesus never dictates to us in that way. Whenever our Lord talked about discipleship, He always prefaced His words with an "if," never with the forceful or dogmatic statement-- "You must." Discipleship carries with it an option.
